Ronaldo is Brazil´s greatest talent since the great Pele. He started his professional career in the season 90-91, playing for Social Ramos Club. For the next two seasons he played for São Cristovão. In the season 93-94 Ronaldo signed for a first division club in Brazil, Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte. In Cruzerio Ronaldo scored 54 goals in 54 games. Now some great players say "Not even Pele managed that at the start of his career". All big clubs in Europe were
interested in the young talent Ronaldo, but PSV Eindhoven got him because another great Brazilian striker Romario told him that PSV is the most professional and best-organized club in Europe. Ronaldo ended his first season in PSV as Holland´s top scorer with 35 goals. On March 24th '94 Ronaldo made his international debut. He replaced Bebeto in the last 10 minutes in a match between Brazil and Argentina. 1996 he signed for Barcelona and he is still playing for Barca. Fifa voted him the best player in the world 1996. Ronaldo remains shy and feels totally embarrassed by comparisons with Pele. Ronaldo played 49 games and scored 47 goals in barca (pretty amazing). 1997 Inter bought Ronaldo for a hugh prize. Ronaldo made a great start in his new club in italy. Ronaldo lives with his girlfriend, model Susanna Werner. His parents separated when he was 14 because of his father´s alcoholism.
